Batman is your typical black cat: Affectionate and talkative. He's now in full adolescent swing, loves to jump, climb, and BOY does he love having a tail. He was named for two obvious reasons that dominate his little head. While he's a bit skinny, we're pretty sure he's just built that way, because he eats several times a day. When he came to our home it took four days for him to open up and trust enough to use the whole bathroom to play, instead of hiding behind the toilet all the time. Slowly he learned we're just part of the environment, and hey, we feed him too! He's come a long way to a boisterous normal little kitten, though I wouldn't be surprised if he started out very shy and a bit frightened for the first few days in your home. With some patience and gentle encouragement, it doesn't take him long to warm up to you. It's likely he'll purr the first time you touch him. I would suggest Batman NOT go to a home with young children as if he were to be chased or mauled, it could set him back and easily cause him to become fearful. He gets spooked around loud noises and the vacuum, is totally interested in our cats, and after a week gets along very well with our small dogs. If you have large dogs, they should be cat savvy. Our dogs are very cat savvy, so they know how to behave to gain a kittens trust. A large exuberant dog would probably scare the bejeebers out of Batman. He is great with his litter, and though does like to play with our hands with his claws and teeth a bit, he is easily put off of it and tends to be reasonably respectful to begin with. He's been pretty easy to train away from the laptop. All in all a fantastic cat, and a special little guy.
