Hi, my name is Ballerina and I used to live on the streets of Avsallar, TURKEY. About 4 months ago, I was left at the door of a veterinary hospital with an injury to one of my back legs. It was such a horrible and painful experience that I blocked it out of my memory so I am not exactly sure what happened to me. I spent 2 months in the hospital receiving treatment and because I am so sweet, the staff fell in love with me and asked two ladies if I could fly to “Vancouver”. I heard that Fistik was also going and I hoped with all of my heart that I too would be as lucky! My dream came true and I flew all the way from Turkey on a plane. Since my leg had not healed, I had to continue treatment and recently had my leg amputated because I was not improving. I am now recovering from surgery and doing great! I was shot by locals in the past during my life on the streets and as a result, a pellet was surgically removed from my side. My foster mom tells me that I am very special and that I deserve the world. I don’t know what the “world” is but I sure hope it’s good!! I still run around and play with toys and my other foster cat sisters. I don’t let my disability slow me down and I hope that I can still find a loving forever family to help me forget about my traumatic past. Please come visit me so that my foster mom can tell you all about me! I would love to be adopted with FISTIK, MIMI or into a home with another friendly and playful kitty like myself!
