Balou (or Boo) is a beautiful and friendly female black and tan tabby. She has a good amount of energy which she dispenses in small bursts as she sees fit and keeps herself busy chasing shadows and toys, but still manages to get plenty of sleep each day! She is a super easy cat, she isn't picky about food, doesn't beg, and is happy to curl up on the couch (or a lap if it's handy). She will happily keep you warm at night sleeping under your covers, but has no problem being banished from the bedroom either. She really loves watching and talking to the birds outside the window. As a bonus, she will keep your home bug free; she can catch anything that crawls or flies around your home. Balou has never been with dogs and is quite frightened by them. She has been the dominant cat in our 2 cat household, and I think she would be fine with another cat as long as the other cat didn't mind being dominated.
Balou has moved into a new home (always with the same owners) several times in her life and has always taken it in stride. She has adapted quite nicely to having a baby in the house. Our son is all over her, poking, pushing, grabbing, stepping on her and she has never attempted to scratch or bite him, she just waits for the right time and walks away. Balou is super friendly and not at all skittish. She has been very healthy her whole life and is only at the vet for her yearly check ups. We can easily trim her claws, pick her up, put her in a carrier etc... She is a great cat, and will give someone many many years of love. Balou will take her favorite toys, her sleeping mat, her usual food and her carrier to her new home.
Balou has been in the same loving home since she was a kitten, but our child's asthma has led us to have to find her a new home.
