Boxer arrived at his foster’s home on July 24, having been picked up from his owner who was moving to the States. Boxer is six years old, and with his brother Liger, was originally adopted in Seattle. He is an almost-symmetrical grey and white tom who arrived overweight and sluggish. Boxer is gentle, cautious and has an affectionate personality. On a strict diet, he has lost most of his excess weight, and is more active and engaged as a result. He loves to sit in a quiet lap and doze off. He also likes petting and attention. His favourite activity is chasing treats that his foster dad throws down the hallway outside the apartment. He also likes to wake up his foster dad by gently bumping his foster’s chin with his head.
LIGER and his brother Boxer are pals. Sometimes they groom each other, other times they play a baiting game, with Liger lying on his back teasing Boxer with one paw, and Boxer sitting near Liger's head and performing a mock attack every time Liger swats him. They will probably tolerate other cats, as long as the other cat(s) feel the same. Boxer needs a quiet home with lots of laps to sit in, and places he can curl up and watch what goes on. He would be friendly to kids of all ages. They would enjoy each other’s company should they be adopted together.
