Ginger has been with me since June 2007. I took her in from another Foster home after she was not getting along with the other two cats. As it turns out, Ginger has no problems living with my partners cat that moved in August of 2008.

I received a list of "Gingerisms" from her last home and made a few modifications as she has grown out of some of these a bit:

She loves a good long and strong scratch around her neck and ears. Although she will tolerate the occasional pet on her tummy and lower back she will definitely only give you one warning before a clawless swat on the hand. I do cut her claws every few months but she puts on quite a dramatic show as she would prefer you leave her claws alone. SHE REALLY, REALLY LOVES MEN, perhaps its the aggressive scratches. She sleeps on my bed and loves a good scratch under the neck before she sleeps.

Ginger is very playful with all sorts of toys, and particularly fond of laser chasing/pouncing. She loves chasing a blanket, mice toys, empty toilet paper rolls - anything is fun for her. She is a very curious girl, especially towards a partially open door, cupboard or drawer. She is not a meower, but will talk to you when it's feeding time or when you come home she'll greet you with a cute little meow. Ginger needs to have her food controlled as she has a healthy appetite. I feed her raw meat chunks morning and night but she always tries to go for a little kibble from the other cat’s bowl. She drinks very little, perhaps there is sufficient water in the meat.  In the litter box as she balances all four paws on the edges - so no boxes with lids. She appreciates if you scoop her box daily (she likes the wood pellets best).

Ginger needs regular brushings during the hot summer months since she needs to shed her long beautiful coat. She has lived with another cat for the past year and seems to enjoy the company. Ginger is a beautiful girl and deserves a patient, loving home.

Ginger's adopted!
