Hi there. My name is Stripes, but my foster Mum calls me Henrietta -- I like it much better, and I’m much more beautiful than my picture too. I once had a home, but my owner moved away and left me. Two days later the landlady found me locked in the apartment and VERY hungry. I'm so lucky to have VOKRA, I’ve settled in very well and can’t tell you how much I have loved all my fosters – I try, I rub up against them, sit next to them, butt my head into their hands, cuddle up close for a bedtime purr before I fall asleep at the foot of the bed, I even greet them at the door. My foster Mum says her favourite sounds are my sighs of contentment as I’m relaxing - I am happiest draped across your lap, paws stretched out in luxury... I love head scratches and I’m finding that being picked up for a cuddle is pretty nice. I enjoy visitors too; I’m not shy at all!

I like to follow you around to see what you're doing and if you have some time to throw toys or paper balls I will fetch them for you after I’ve masterfully batted them around for a while, unless I get distracted by chasing my tail. I like to play but I get upset if you're too rough, so I would probably prefer older kids and adults. I like to investigate cupboards (so many things could have happened since I was there last), hide in drawers and laundry hampers and of course, comment on the birds outside the window, but if you just want to stay in bed all morning I'm good with that too. I have perfected some very peaceful purring lullabies…
