Sponsor VOKRA's Feral and Barn Cats

By far the most misunderstood group of cats are those called “feral” or “unsocial”. Cats who have been born homeless—on the streets or in the countryside—are undomesticated and naturally afraid of humans. Outdoors, they experience terrible hardship: starvation, parasites, disease, predation, poisoning, and abuse. VOKRA uses humane, no-kill methods to trap, neuter/spay, and release feral cats (this is known as a “TNR program”).

Released ferals are brought back to their previous locations whenever possible, and feral colonies are looked after by volunteers who provide food and water on a daily basis. When feral cats can be tamed—typically, as young kittens—we adopt them out to people who will understand their special ways. But there is also an in-between group who are not quick to tame up, but also may not survive in a colony. VOKRA works to find farm homes for these cats, our “barn cats”.

Sponsoring VOKRA's Feral and Barn Cats helps us provide health care (these cats are often in terrible condition when we receive them), proper food, warm dry bedding, litter, and sheltered accommodation while we strive to find the right homes for these least fortunate of cats.

Yes! I would like to Sponsor VOKRA's Feral and Barn Cats.
